Yesterday, we headed to Key West, right after Vacation Bible School. We were ready for an adventure. It is locals month for Historic Tours of America, which means that we can go to the Aquarium for free. YAY!
There were fish, and nurse sharks, and amazing natural sea life all around. We were especially amazed by the octopus.
Afterwards, we wondered over the the Toy Store. We got to see a magician. And have magic balloon animals. All in all, it was a wonderful Key West adventure in an afternoon.
Inchworms make great pets. Especially if give them cool carpet (leaves) and name the great names (like Inchy and Worm-boy).
The First Years Wave Stroller has been in our house about a year. We took it on a cross country summer vacation last summer. It has been to countless school events, parks, after school activities, and many more. And it’s still my primary stroller. Actually come to think of it, it’s my only stroller.
I can confidently say that it has held up to my expectations. Being the youngest of four really means taking naps on the go. I love the features on this stroller. It’s why I made that you tube video. Because it is so easy to take a forward facing awake baby (or toddler) and turn them to be parent facing and lay them flat in a bassinet for a nap on the go.
The sunshade is very large and has a nice peek a boo window in it. It comes with the bar so that you can put an infant carseat into the stroller. The basket is a decent size, and can hold my diaper bag. The handle is adjustable. This is important to both my husband and Ashley (my 12 year old). Though really they just argue whenever we are out that it is “too high” or “too low” – so I’m not sure if I love this feature or not. BUT most people do like this, if you are taller, you can adjust it up to your height, and vise versa if you’re shorter.
My only real complaints, ones that were easily fixed with some add on items are that when it’s in bassinet form, it’s hard to get your bag in and out of the stroller. It doesn’t have a child tray or a parent cup holder. In my research for nicer strollers, I found that was often the case.
Overall if you are looking for a nicer, less expensive stroller that has all the options of facing both directions and converting into a full bassinet, then this is a great option. We really enjoy it.

Yes, another Purex review. Because Purex is to laundry what children are to cookies.

Ah there it is, the bottle in all it’s glory.
In short, it smells great. Which is awesome, because I totally used my Purex Crystals in the load, and the scents combined to make a beautiful harmony. So happy.
The nitty-gritty. Or the really dirty. I have 4 children. I bought popsicles. They gave one to the toddler (yup, I cringed). He LOVED it. His shirt, however, did not. I normally would have put a pre-treatment on the shirt, but I figured this would be a good test for the new detergent!
I expected to see the usual, red haze from where the stain was. But nope, it was completely gone! And now I’m a believer! I love stuff that saves me a step in the laundry process. Who am I kidding, I love stuff that saves me a step in any process!
So thank you Purex, and hello new detergent for my household!

Purex sent me a test kit of their new Purex Crystals product to try out as a Purex Insider.
I have to admit, at first I was skeptical. It was just a bottle of little crystals. But, I put it in the wash and hoped for the best.
You just put the crystals in the washer with your detergent. Anyhow, with 4 kids, freshness is my ultimate goal!
After I pulled them out of the dryer, they smelled great! Fresh and clean. And even better, I noticed that when the children wore the clothes, they still smelled fresh and clean! I was impressed. So impressed, that I had to rush out and buy a full sized bottle of the crystals before doing any more laundry, LOL!

Only daddy didn’t put the carrots and peas in the pie. So he made a cheesy veggie side dish.
Riley – Daddy, the veggies look funny

Riley – But daddy, they look funny
Daddy – well what do they look like son?

Daddy (getting angry now) – WHAT?
Riley – They look like the dog’s barf.

I did a video review of my stroller. I love it! As the youngest of four, my son often needs a nap while we’re out. And it’s so easy to switch him into a comfortable position for sleeping.
